Want to experience downtown Olympia with streets made up of over 100 art galleries, performances, and creative happenings? That’s exactly what you’ll find at Olympia Arts Walk Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, 2024, featuring:

  • 100 Olympia businesses and organizations hosting local artists and art events
  • A street closure transforming seven blocks of Downtown Olympia into a free activity area, Arts Market, busking zone, and place to gather and celebrate art and community
  • The Procession of the Species Saturday 4:30pm and Luminary Procession Friday 8:30pm – celebrating nature in community presented by Earthbound Productions (https://oly-wa.us/procession/)

SPSCC faculty members Liza Brenner and Olympia Poet Laureate Kathleen Byrd will be showing paintings and poems and broadsides respectively at KXXO Mixx 96.1 at 119 Washington St. NE, with work by their students as well. Byrd will host a poetry reading Friday evening also featuring SPSCC students.
