Take a journey through time and nature – and learn how the cultural and ecological history of Olympia’s historic shoreline intertwine! The Estuarium will offer a Sea Stroll walking tour Sunday, March 10th, 2024 1-3pm! Starting from the Estuarium, explore the changes to Olympia’s shoreline, from its geologic past to present-day concerns like rising sea levels. Learn about the importance of estuaries and what they can do for us, discover the impact of water processes on our estuary’s water quality, learn facts about the history of early Olympia, and the importance of the original stewards of these lands and the arrival of non-natives.
