Celebrate Tanabata, the Japanese festival of stars, at the Hands On Children’s Museum Wednesday-Thursday, July 16-17, 2025 with artist Chiyo Sanada! Write your wishes on colorful paper using traditional Japanese calligraphy (shodo). Shodo is essentially an art of movement, using ink, brush, and paper to express thoughts and emotions in characters. Sanada’s goal is to make connections with people from all over the world through her art.
