Hear some poetry! Olympia Poetry Network’s free “Poet and Open Mic” night Wednesday, June 18, 2025 6:00-7:30pm (open mic signup 5:30pm) at Traditions features a reading by Bethany Reid. Reid’s fourth full-length poetry book, The Pear Tree: Elegy for a Farm, won MoonPath Press’s 2023 Sally Albiso Award. Her poetry has won numerous awards, including Calyx’s Lois Cranston Memorial Prize, MacGuffin’s Poet Hunt Contest, and OPN’s Jeanne Lohmann Prize.
