Attend the grand opening of the Olympia Arts & Heritage Alliance Museum – the capital city’s first-ever museum dedicated to celebrating the rich intersection of arts, culture, and history in Olympia. The grand opening will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 11am-5pm at the museum’s new location on Columbia Street. This free, public event will welcome guests into a dynamic new space that also houses Olympia’s new Visitor Center.
Opening exhibits include:
- Button blankets from the Squaxin Island Tribe
- New works by local artists
- Numerous historic exhibits
- A detailed scale model of a historic tugboat
The Olympia Arts & Heritage Alliance Museum is more than a traditional museum—it’s a community hub. Visitors can experience rotating exhibitions, storytelling installations, local history displays, and contemporary art that highlight Olympia’s evolving identity.
The museum will be open Thursdays through Sundays, 11am-5pm.
