Lisa Nickel’s new local history book, Tugboat Sand Man, traces the story of Olympia’s beloved tugboat from its launch in 1910 through today. Author Lisa Nickel will give a special free presentation at the Olympia Timberland Library Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 6:30pm which will include rare photographs, engaging stories, and a look at the tug’s remarkable legacy.
