Walk against racism! In commemoration of the 140th Anniversary of the forced Chinese expulsion from Tacoma, the Chinese Reconciliation Project Foundation is putting on the Walk for Reconciliation Against Racism Saturday, October 25th, 2025 10am-1pm starting at Tacoma Union Station and ending at Chinese Reconciliation Park. This free, public event reverses the walking route of the Chinese community’s expulsion from Tacoma in 1885, reclaiming the city for all peoples and cultures. Through ceremony and storytelling, the walk empowers you to confront racism, advocate for equity, and build a more inclusive future for Tacoma.
