Learn more about the struggles Native Americans have gone through to achieve fishing rights, land rights, and equal health and education opportunities! A new memoir written by Puyallup tribal elder and former chair Ramona Bennett Bill, “Fighting for the Puyallup Tribe,” will be featured at a free panel presentation at the State History Museum in Tacoma 5:30 to 8pm on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Bill is widely recognized among the tribes as a warrior woman and a living legend.
