A Lewis County pilot coined the term “flying saucer” to describe his UFO siting in 1947. Chehalis honors its place in UFO history with the Chehalis Flying Saucer Party at the Lewis County Historical Museum Friday & Saturday, September 12-13, 2025! The Chehalis Flying Saucer Party commemorates its piece of pop culture history with expert speakers, live music, vendors, a costume content, a local film festival, and many more fun activities. The Alien Costume Parade leads up to the “Saucer Drop,” where you can catch a flying saucer and win a prize!
