The Tanglewilde Recreational Park in Lacey will be alive with patriotic music on the evening of Thursday, July 24th, 2025. The Department of Washington American Legion Band, sponsored by the Olympia-based Sacajawea Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), will celebrate the 125th anniversary of John Phillip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever” with a free event at 6pm. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for the outdoor event. There is no charge to attend but donations for the band will be welcome.
