Everything’s different in 2020, which will result in fewer haunted houses and less trick-or-treating. However, most pumpkin patches are still operating with Covid-19 precautions in place. See more events on our regular Event Calendar
The Hands On Children’s Museum celebrates fall and the blue moon with 10 days of Boo Bash. Treat your little pumpkins to a safe and special costume party daily through November 1. Kids can explore a straw maze, press apple cider, screen print a treat bag, paint with black light and watch freaky Dr. Science demos! Calling all little superheroes, zombies and Pokémon characters… the Briggs YMCA has a safe, free Halloween event for you October 31 3-4:30pm! No worries parents, fun and COVID precautions will be in full effect! Little trick or treaters remain in the comfort and safety of their car – our costumed staff and volunteers will bring the treats to them. Open to all kids!
Classy Chassis is bringing back its legendary Haunted Car Washes event at 5002 Center St., Tacoma, and 11304 Canyon Rd. E., Puyallup! Drive through a blacked-out tunnel and experience a thrilling show of monsters, music, and illusions that will be sure to spook you – and drive out with a clean and shiny car! And the best part: a portion of the proceeds from every sale will be donated to Mary Bridge Children’s Foundation! Fun for all ages, as well as as clean and safe per Health Department guidelines. The “haunting” starts at 7:00 pm October 29-31, with a special “Kids Hour” on Halloween from 5:30pm–6:30pm where the terror level will be “toned down” for the younger crowd and trick-or-treat bags will be available for all kids. For 2020 Avanti’s Haunted School goes online. But the links to the hunt can only be found at participating downtown businesses. Can you find them all? Each link will provide a clue to the next link. You will need a device with internet access and a QR Code Reader. Haunt/Hunt will be open October 26-31.
