Event Details

The August Wild Grief  hike is a two-mile out and back trail and is perfect for all ages and activity levels. Explore the beautiful green forest and perhaps spot wildlife as part of this journey where participants work through personal grief. Sunday, August 11th, 11am-1pm. Park in Lot F at the Evergreen State College.

Every grief hike begins with an opening circle, an acknowledgement of who is here and who they are carrying in their hearts. The group walks in silence for ten minutes, then morphs and changes into small groupings or solitary walkers.  Conversations can be deep or light, mixing the here and now with shut-away places. And there are times of walking with another in silence. Know that each of us is somewhere in their grief journey where all are welcome. The event ends with a closing circle.
