Event Details

Voting is a fundamental principle – the cornerstone of our democracy – and all Americans deserve an equal opportunity to make their voices heard. The Kitsap County Council for Human Rights and League of Women Voters of Kitsap are partnering to present “Voting Rights are Human Rights,” a free forum focusing on voting rights from a human rights perspective that takes place Wednesday, May 24th 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. (with a post-event reception 7:30 to 8 p.m.) in the Eagle’s Nest of the Kitsap County Fairgrounds.

Panelists will share their experiences facing challenges and barriers to voting, review recent legislation and changes made to improve voter accessibility – and look at work that still needs to be done. There will be opportunities to ask questions, check out voter resources and learn how to get involved.

Visit the Kitsap County Council for Human Rights website for more information and resources, including the Zoom link if you wish to join virtually, at kcowa.us/hrc.
