COVID-19 Safe Drive-Through Event at City Hall
The City of Tumwater is hosting its annual Clean-Up, Drop-Off event for residents. Safely discard unused prescriptions and expired medications; shred personal, sensitive, or financial documents, and donate non-perishable food and personal hygiene items. It’s fast, and it’s free.
Stop by the Clean-up, Drop-off event, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2020. COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place for volunteers and visitors. Drive through the parking lot at Tumwater City Hall and remain in your vehicle. Volunteers will remove items from the trunk or back of a pick-up truck.
DISCARD: Responsibly destroy unused prescriptions or old medications at Tumwater Police Department’s Prescription DropBox.
SHRED: Shred personal, sensitive, or financial documents to protect against identity theft at the LeMay Mobile Shredding, sponsored by O Bee Credit Union. Limit 5 grocery bags or banker boxes per vehicle.
Tumwater City Hall is located at 555 Israel Road in Tumwater. Vehicle entrance to the event will be from New Market Street SW, off of Israel Road SW.
Hazardous Materials: Hazardous materials will not be accepted at this event. Hazohouse, located at the Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center at 2420 Hogum Bay Road NE in Lacey, will accept and properly dispose of chemicals and toxins. This is a free service for Thurston County residents.
