Thurston County residents may pick up free bulk compost at the Hawks Prairie Park & Ride next to the Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center Saturday, May 3, 2025 11am-2pm. Bring a shovel and gloves and be prepared to load your own material. Compost is first-come, first-served while supplies last with a limit of 1/2 cubic yard (20 five-gallon buckets).
