On Friday, June 9 at 7:30 p.m., the South Puget Sound Community CollegeSymphony Orchestra, Chamber Singers, and Percival Choirs join forces for A Brazilian Requiem. The concert will feature a performance of José Maurício Nunes García’s Requiem in D Minor and works by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and Ludwig van Beethoven with singers Lauren Zinke (soprano), Crystal Zimmerman (mezzo-soprano), Ryne Olson (tenor), and David Hoffman (bass).
The SPSCC Jazz Band performs Jazzed Up for Summer Tuesday, June 13 at 7:30 p.m. featuring both large and small group ensembles showcasing songs to get you jazzed for summer.
Admission for each concert is a suggested $15 donation at the door. Entrance is free to SPSCC students, staff, and faculty. The Music Department concerts are sponsored in part by R.L. Ray Violin Shop. More information is available on the college’s Arts & Entertainment page.
