Event Details

Make a difference at United Way of Thurston County’s (UWTC) Drive-Up Shelter Shower On Thursday, December 16, from noon to 3 p.m.

Shelter Shower is when the community “showers” two local shelters with household goods. This year, UWTC has selected SafePlace and Family Support Center of South Sound to shower. Both organizations have detailed Wish Lists with items they need to support families in crisis — diapers, towels, laundry detergent, gift cards, children’s books and more. Here’s how the Shelter Shower will work this year:

1.  Click here to view the Wish Lists

2.  Shop for the items you wish to donate

3.  Drive Up and Drop off at United Way on December 16 between noon and 3 p.m. Volunteers will meet you at your car and help you unload. Please do not wrap gifts. We will need to sort and organize donations. If you do not have time to shop, you can donate gift cards or donate online here.

Anyone unable to attend this year’s Drive-Up Shelter Shower can coordinate the drop-off by calling United Way at (360) 943-2773 OR donating to United Way here:
