Cheer on the WWII women pilots of Olympia Little Theatre’s “The Originals,” inspired by the true story of the heroic women pilots who formed the Women’s Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron during World War II. Based on interviews, letters, and period articles about the women, the play tells the almost forgotten tale of an elite squadron of women pilots who battle prejudice, betrayal, sabotage and personal loss to prove they belong in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Their success and this story are an inspiring one of love, duty, sacrifice, and the perseverance of the human spirit.
