The Olympia Dance Festival returns to the Washington Center Saturday, March 4th at 7:00pm. Sponsored by the center and Ballet Northwest, the festival features 17 dance companies from throughout Western Washington, performing ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, jazz, Irish dance, Chinese dance, ballroom, musical theatre and more! Special guest artist is Jason Rodgers, a renowned tap dancer who has been on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, the North American tour of the Broadway musical Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk, and the Disney Channel. The program also features the world premiere of “An American in Paris” choreographed by Eugene Ballet resident choreographer Suzanne Haag, and accompanied by the Teaching Artists from Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia – Cameron May, conductor.
