Enjoy a day full of art, discovery, music, science, and food at the Nisqually Watershed Festival Saturday, September 24th, 2022 10am-4pm. Discover what makes Nisqually such a natural and cultural gem through interactive exhibits, exploratory nature trips, and educational activities! You can explore the local ecosystem with a marine touch tank, learn about salmon habitat by climbing inside a 25-foot long replica salmon, bring and decorate your own salmon t-shirt, and even watch a fish dissection! In addition “Insect Extravaganza” returns to let guests view insects from around the world, as well as their own backyard. Plus you won’t want to miss out on joining a guided nature walk, painting a wooden salmon, participating in a critter parade, and boarding a shuttle to the Nisqually Reach Nature Center to take a tour of the Nisqually nearshore. If hungry you can enjoy fresh fish at the salmon bake, Radio Fryer’s burgers and fries, and even more delicious fair food! Favorite performers and exhibitors from past festivals as well as brand new ones are also on the schedule including the Reptile Lady, Bats Northwest, Olympia Highlanders, Wolf Haven International, and Puget Sound Estuarium!
