The Library Giving Day campaign is a concept dedicated to growing philanthropic support for libraries across the nation as part of Library Awareness Week. It was conceived by The Seattle Public Library Foundation and piloted in 2019. This first-ever Library Giving Day helped participating libraries raise a collective $737,000! Since its inception, over 400 library organizations across the United States and Canada have participated in the annual event.
