Music. Black heritage. Community coming together. Olympia’s Juneteenth Celebration Festival is poised to deliver meaningful connections to our past alongside good food and fun festivities. The family-friendly event runs from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2022 in downtown Olympia’s Rebecca Howard Park.

All community members are welcome to enjoy live presentations and performances by Olympia Poet Laureate Ashly McBunch, R&B Hip Hop Artist Shady B, The Black Tones, The Buffalo Soldiers, Tunes and Melodies by DJ Lady Hawk, Awodi Drumming, and more. The event is hosted by the Women of Color in Leadership Movement and Media Island International in partnership with the City of Olympia.

Juneteenth Celebration Festival attendees may make use of Olympia free downtown weekend parking in five City lots or Intercity Transit’s zero-fare weekend bus routes to downtown. Rebecca Howard Park, 911 Adams Street SE, Olympia, WA 98501, offers ADA-accessible amenities.
