Buy blintzes to support “healing the world.” Blintzapalooza is Sunday, March 26th 10am-2pm at Temple Beth Hatfiloh’s parking lot at the corner 8th & Franklin in Olympia. Just show up and purchase frozen, bagged blintzes, topping, and hot coffee on site. No need to order ahead. First come first served so get there early! Total net proceeds of Blintzapalooza, as always, go to support the Jewish tradition of Tikkun Olam, healing the world.
Part of the proceeds will go to Interfaith Works for the extraordinary work they do, especially in serving the unhoused with shelter, permanent housing, food and services. The temple is also taking part in Quixote Community’s “Adopt a Tiny Home” project by sponsoring at least one and maybe more (depending on your appetite for blintzes) tiny homes in Quixote Village Olympia. This pioneering community of 30 small homes, with a central lodge building with common kitchen and shower facilities, has provided housing for dozens of persons through the years who previously lived in encampments in the Olympia area. Each sponsorship of $1,500 helps maintain one of these homes for a year. Find out about this program and other ways you can help at https://www.quixotecommunities.org/ways-to-give.html
