The updated and revitalized Bigelow House Museum in Olympia will hold regular escorted tours on the first and second Sunday of the month at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. beginning Sunday, June 4, 2023. All tours will be limited to 10 people each and visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is $5.00 for adults; $4.00 for seniors and students and $2.00 for children under 18 with a maximum of $15.00 per family. Visitors will see all of the upstairs and downstairs of the house as well as new displays and decor.
The Bigelow House, built by 1860 by Daniel S. and Ann Elizabeth White Bigelow, Oregon Trail pioneers of 1851, is a fine example of the Carpenter Gothic style and is listed on the National, State, and Olympia Registers of Historic Places, as well as the National Votes for Women Trail. The house features authentic furnishings and artifacts of the Bigelow family, who lived in the house for more than 140 years. The decor emphasizes the Territorial Period of Washington.
