Celebrate Olympia’s heritage! The Bigelow House Museum is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a fundraising event on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Lord Mansion. In 1995, members of the Bigelow House Preservation Association worked together to purchase, restore, and open the Bigelow House as a museum. This evening will honor those who have dedicated themselves to preserving this historic landmark. Enjoy an evening of history, music, and community spirit while supporting the museum’s ongoing preservation efforts. The event will feature a display of Olympia memorabilia from Dwight Moody’s private collection, a silent auction featuring unique local items and experiences, gourmet hors d’oeuvres by Bite Me Catering, fine wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, and music performed by harpist Cindy Zechmann.

Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased at https://olympiahistory.org/heritage-celebration/

All proceeds benefit the museum, helping to fund critical needs such as hazard tree removal, furnace maintenance, and essential supplies. While incredible volunteers handle tasks like cleaning, groundskeeping, and daily maintenance, fundraising remains vital to keeping this 165-year-old building in excellent condition.

The silent auction is open through April 24 at 7:30 PM and can be accessed via the 32 Auctions website, linked on their website. Tickets and event attendance are not required to participate.
