The WSU Thurston County Extension Master Gardener Program is now recruiting adults 18+ for Master Gardener Volunteer Training starting Friday, Jan. 31 and ending Friday, June 6, 2025. Training topics include basic botany, integrated pest management, soil science, plant identification, pest and disease diagnosis, and more. After completion of training, you are expected to share what you learned via horticultural-related community service.
Tuition for the training is $335. Payment plans and a limited number of full or partial scholarships are available. The deadline to submit a volunteer application is 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 but is filled on a first come, first served basis so apply early for admittance!
